SHERIFF REPORTS FROM WEST FLORIDA TEEN CHALLENGE
BONIFAY, FL
The following Sheriff reports are disturbing examples of the abuses that we hear about from Teen Challenges across the nation. Please DO NOT support Teen Challenge monetarily or non-monetarily until they publicly acknowledge these abuses and ethical violations, make appropriate changes likewise (especially in the areas of transparency and allowing minors to emergency contact to immediate family) and submit to complete third party regulation and monitoring.
Together, we can make a difference!
This first report, evidences reports that we have heard before that "water-boarding" or the use of water to simulate a drowning effect has been used, and may be currently used to deal with difficult situations. This is not the first report of water-boarding that we've heard in regard to Teen Challenge, and we were skeptical as to the credibility of the reports we had seen, that is until we saw this...

i was there for most of these events i was there from jan 2004 to 06 and then back again in 07 when the kids were beat and i saw multiple worked until they passed out of threw then worse was done i saw the kid get thrown out and the hose put in his mouth it was winter and ill never forget how cold it was and hoping that i wasnt next for the hose.

Deleteis there anyhting we can do now about this its been a long time but i will never forget those days and it was a large part of my life anything i can do to help stop this place plz let me know.
ReplyDeletei have seen the abuse as well. was there from 03 to 04. people getting thrown out of windows kids being thrown to the ground, forcing to exercise and roll on the wet ground wearing only whitey tighties during the winter. refusing proper medication and treatment. i had to wait 4 months until my visit with family before my family took me to the doctor.
